Would You Wear These Five Jeans Looks From The D&G Show?

Last week Susan blogged about the Ralph Lauren show and the awesome jeans ideas there. Well, yesterday in Milan, D&G showed an equally inspiring collection of denim stuff. Check 'em out and vote on your favorite, after the jump.

1. A stonewash mini

As Suze warned you guys back in January, stonewash is back. Did you live through the '80s? You know what we're talking about, then. If you like the look, I'd recommend taking a cue from D&G and going for a color like black (e.g. not neon purple). It's the safest take on a not-safe trend, and I think it's pretty cute here on a ruffly skirt.

2. Cuffed boyfriend shorts

I love the looser, anti Daisy-Duke variety of cut-offs like these, which cool girls in Brooklyn zip codes have been rocking for awhile now. I can totally envision these on the weekend. Add a little polish with a spiffy buttondown—nice, right?

3. A fannyback—yes, a fannypack

The jury's still out on this utilitarian accessory, but one thing is for sure: Designers have been putting fanny packs on the runway for several seasons now, doing their best to put a luxe spin on the carry-all previously preferred by tourists at Disney World. I have to say, this is one of the least egregious fanny packs I've come across—love the tassels.

4. Head-to-toe blues pieces

Also seen at Ralph, is the "full-on blue" look. Done wrong, this is what's affectionately (hi, readers in Austin, Dallas, Houston, etc!) known as a "Texas Tuxedo." Done right, it's nothing short of superchic. Here's my advice to pulling it off: Make sure some of your denim is either lighter or darker (the bleached and distressed pieces here are working well; chambray—light denim—shirts are another good trick). Also mix in few neutral-color accessories to break-up the all-over blue-ness. Love!

5. Khaki jeans

OK, maybe this is kind of cheating but how fresh are these non-blue blues? Much more exciting than any khaki pants I own, and a refreshing change from all the dark denim in my wardrobe...I think I need a pair!
